How to read MOBI and EPUB files on your PC

After buying a book from our website, you may wonder how to read the book on your PC.

 

Unzipping

  1. Download the zip file.
  2. Right click on the zip file, click on ‘Extract all…’ and choose where you want to save the file.

The MOBI file

  1. Save the MOBI file where you’ll find it easily.
  2. Download and install Kindle for PC as instructed in the link. (You need to have an Amazon account – it’s free.)
  3. Go to the MOBI file you had saved, right click and choose ‘Open with’ >’Kindle for PC’, and the ebook should open.

 The EPUB file

  1. Save teh EPUB file where you’ll find it easily.
  2. Download and install Adobe Digital Editions as instructed in the link. (You need to have an Adobe account – it’s free.)
  3. Go to the EPUB file you had saved, right click and choose ‘Open with’ >’Adobe Digital Editions’, and the ebook should open.

Read online

Ibisreader

Alternatively you can read the EPUB online by uploading it to Ibisreader, an excellent interface for ebooks. (The cover isn’t always visible though.)

  1. Go to ibisreader.com and register – it’s free.
  2. Click on ‘Add books’.
  3. Fine the EPUB file on your PC.
  4. Click OK, and the book will be uploaded.
  5. Double click on the title and you’ll be able to read the book.
